how to select welding electrode / flux /wire



i want to know how to select correct electrode /flux/wire.

this is a very complex question. the first question should be what type of metal are you welding? then what welding process are you using? what shielding gas? what position will the weld be made (flat, vertical, horizontal,overhead). contact your local welding supplier. don't go to a store that sales welding supplies and all other kinds of items, go to the suppliers that sale only welding equipment. they have several charts available to help indentify the proper consumables.
